A) five options for Profile:

Keep Cincinnati Beautiful– Volunteer services/ Makes our community better.

Red Cross– Volunteer services beyond Cincinnati

Patrick Brady at Cincinnati Childrens– Research Director, how its changing

Cincinnati Homeless Coalition– advocacy group for homelessness in Cincinnati

Middletown’s Women’s Shelter– Options for women of the area with children or in domestic violence relationships.

B) To have a Profile published on The Activist would mean that the specific person or business has a good influence on us as readers or that maybe it would be interesting to us for some reason like our major. I think it’s important to consider all options while all of us are picking out who to profile in class. We wouldn’t want to be redudnant in topics. I also think you’d want it to be something you think will appeal to other people or that a certain audience of your choice would find intriguing.

C) After researching more I think I am going to do a profile on Cincinnati Homeless Coalition. I came across the page and I think they are great advocates for our community considering the amount of homelessness we have in the Cincinnati area. Advocacy is something I’ve always liked and I think its a good way for students to be involved with volunteer services too. Monday for our observation time I plan on emailing Mark Mussman from the group. He is the Director of Education for the group and I think he would have great information for me to write about.
